Here's an easy idea for tissue paper flowers.

These can be used simply as a floral arrangement for perhaps a wedding table setting, or as a delightful feminine touch on your gift wrapping.

You will need

A sheet of plain or patterned tissue paper (This will make many flowers)

Some florist wire or chenille stem, or even fuse wire if you cannot obtain either of these

Scissors

Take a standard sheet of tissue paper and fold it in half, and keep folding it in half until you end up with a small rectangle measuring about 3.5 inches by 5 inches. This will make many flowers measuring approx 3 inches across.
Cut the folds in the tissue and make a pile of 4 of the small sheets to make your first flower.
Start by folding the tissue backwards and forwards as though you were making a fan.

Cut rounded ends at each end of the tissue rectangle cutting through all the layers then make a tiny snip at each side of the centre.

Take your wire and twist around the centre to hold the 'petals' together then fan out each side whilst holding the wire stem.

Start to gently separate the top layer of tissue on one side and very gently pull it up towards the centre of the flower. Repeat for the opposite side and keep doing this until all the petals are pulled up and your flower takes shape. At this stage you can embellish your flower by using a highlighter or even painting the edge of the petals with glue and dipping into some glitter for a festive touch.
